Question: Why is Islam dying in Iran?

Question: Why is Islam dying in Iran? Is it because Iranians are superior and smarter than other Muslims?

My Answer:

The premise of the question is flawed. One might claim that Islam is dying because of all the reports of women giving up hijab in Iran, but it is not a proper indicator. So, I need to address two points here: why Iranians aren’t abandoning Islam, and why the reports aren’t expressive of the truth.

First: Iranians aren’t abandoning Islam

Contrary to what the world sees about Iran from outside, a large part of the Iranian community is becoming increasingly more religious. Let me give you some information:

Iranians waiting in large number to cross the border to Iraq for performing Arbaeen Walk
Iranians staying day and night in mosques praying
New year celebration in the holy shrine of Imam Reza, Mashhad

And the list continues…

So, there is no dying of Islam in Iran.

Second: Why reports of Islam’s dying in Iran are inaccurate

You may now ask, “Then what are all these reports of anti-hijab movements? Who are all those Iranian people talking against Islam in the Western media?”

Here’s why. Unfortunately, the Western media is so good! Right at noon, they can prove to you that it is night out. There are some rules that can have this effect:

Yes, Iran has people who disagree with the government or with the religion of the majority, but what country doesn’t?!

And it is the job of the Western media to take those small portions of the population and use them to fabricate a false narrative.

Moreover, it is important to know that Iran, not unlike many countries, has been under a heavy cultural attack by Westerners. Millions and billions of dollars are spent to eradicate any sign of any tradition in the world, to keep people always wanting more of America! (Don’t rush to call me a conspiracy theorist. Just look at what Elon and Donald found and published regarding USAID.)

In Iran, a lot of this money is spent on propagating ideas of atheism, Christianity, or any other ideology for that matter, that could weaken people’s faith in Islam. Take Masih Alinejad, for instance, who received hundreds of thousands of dollars just to persuade young Iranians to remove their hijab. If Iranians had such a strong inner desire to go rogue, then why the big bucks?!
